How to Recognize Legitimate Work from Home Jobs
If you simply go online or read the newspapers these days, it can be very confusing as to what are legitimate work from home jobs and those that are not. Unfortunately, more and more “make money from home” methods are popping up all the time making it difficult for the unsuspecting person to sift through all the information. This post is not about giving you information on all the different money-making methods you may come across, but to provide you with information that will help you figure out whether the method you come across is worth looking into further.
Here are some quick tips to help you:
- Online, you will find lots of websites that tell you that if you sign up before other people, that you will make lots of money. If you do not have to do anything to make this money, I would be very wary.
- Check with the Better Business Bureau to find out more about a company that you are thinking of working for.
- Watch out who you are getting your information from. Not only is there good stuff on the internet, there is a lot of junk that is not accurate. Any disgruntled person can print or say whatever they want online, and you need to make sure that you are getting your information from the right places. Otherwise, you may miss something is truly a legitimate way to make money from home.
- Find out HOW you make the money. Realize that if you have to put a large amount of money upfront and then you’re told that you will get more money back, that it is probably an illegal pyramid or ponzi scheme.
- Realize that companies listed with the Direct Sellers Association are all legal ways to make money. However, they are not equal businesses. The way money is made is different from one company to another, and they all use different methods of distributing their products. As well, some of these companies are stars, whereas others don’t shine so bright, in my opinion.
